Geberit IMAP Policy

Applies To: United States

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

This Internet Minimum Advertised Price (“IMAP”) Policy is issued by Chicago Faucet Company, a Delaware corporation and subsidiary of Geberit AG (“Company”).

For purposes of this Policy, “Geberit” refers to the trademarks, trade names, brand identifiers, and branded products owned by or licensed to Company. All references to “Geberit products” in this Policy refer to products sold or distributed by Company under the Geberit brand.

1) Purpose

Geberit is committed to maintaining its reputation as a premium provider of sanitary systems and luxury bathroom solutions. To protect our brand image, Geberit is adopting this unilateral Internet Minimum Advertised Price (“IMAP”) Policy.

This Policy applies only to the advertised price of Geberit products, not the actual resale price. This Policy applies only to advertised prices and does not restrict a Seller’s ability to sell at any price.

2) Scope of Policy

This Policy applies to all authorized wholesalers, resellers, showrooms, dealers, and e-tailers (“Sellers”) advertising to end users in the United States.

“Advertising” includes but is not limited to, digital and online media such as:

  • Websites, blogs, landing pages, mobile apps
  • Third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Houzz, Home Depot, Walmart)
  • Social media posts, banner ads, display ads, search results
  • Email or text campaigns
  • Browser extensions that surface lower prices, (e.g., Honey, Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, RetailMeNot, or similar tools) that automatically surface coupon codes, display price comparisons, or generate effective advertised prices below IMAP
  • Price-comparison engines, data feeds, or shopping comparison platforms (e.g., Google Shopping feeds, Bing Shopping, price-crawler integrations, or API-based catalog feeds) where Product pricing is published or transmitted to third parties.
  • Affiliate networks, cashback platforms, influencer programs, or performance-marketing sites (e.g., Rakuten, Honey Gold, coupon-aggregator affiliates, reward sites) that publicly display pricing or promotional values affecting the advertised price of Products

This Policy does NOT apply to:

  • In-store signage at brick-and-mortar locations
  • Local trade show displays
  • Personalized, one-to-one, non-automated communications that are not visible to search engines, price crawlers, or the general public are not considered advertising.
  • Final checkout/cart price (provided it is visible only to the customer completing the purchase and hidden from search engines and price crawlers)

3) Covered Products

This Policy covers all Geberit-branded products currently active in our product catalog, unless designated in writing as discontinued, closeout, or IMAP-exempt.

Geberit may update the list of covered products at any time. Geberit may, but is not obligated to, provide advance notice.

4) Internet Minimum Advertised Price

The Internet Minimum Advertised Price (“IMAP”) for each covered product is established and published by Geberit. Unless otherwise communicated, the IMAP is set at no more than 20% below the current Geberit published list price.

  • Sellers may not advertise products below the IMAP price.
  • Sellers may advertise products at or above IMAP.

Promotions, coupons, or discounts that result in an effective advertised price below IMAP are not permitted.

Prohibited tactics include:

  • “See price in cart,” “too low to show,” “special in-cart pricing,” or “add to cart for price” statements
  • Strike-through pricing below IMAP
  • Advertisements may not display bundled pricing that expressly shows an effective Geberit price below IMAP.
  • Rebates, coupons, or gift cards that effectively reduce the advertised price below IMAP
  • Automated responses that disclose pricing (e.g., auto-generated emails/texts with below-IMAP prices) apply to seller-controlled advertising inputs.
  • Automated chat bots or AI-generated responses visible to the public may not display below-IMAP pricing.

Permitted: Sellers may invite customers to “call for price,” “email for price,” or similar — provided responses are direct and non-automated.

5) Permitted Promotions

The following are NOT considered IMAP violations:

  • Free or reduced shipping offers (if category-wide and not specific to Geberit)
  • Geberit-sponsored rebates or promotions
  • Storewide or sitewide promotions that:
    • Do not specifically reference Geberit
    • Do not calculate or display the discounted price of Geberit products in the advertisement
  • Applicable sales taxes, free financing, and other charges required by law

6) Enforcement

If the Company independently determines that advertised pricing is inconsistent with this Policy, Company may, in its sole discretion, chose not to supply products. Violations will be addressed as follows: first notice with 72 hours cure; second notice if unresolved or repeated within 90 days; third violation 30-day suspension; fourth violation termination.

a) First Violation:

  • Written notice will be provided.
  • Sellers have 72 hours (not including Saturday, Sundays, or company approved holidays) to make changes to comply

b) Second Violation:

  • A second written notice will be sent to Seller if a second violation occurs.
  • A second violation will result from any violations that are not resolved within the time specified after a first violation.
  • A second violation can result if a second instance occurs within 90 days.

c) Third Violation: 30-day suspension of shipments for entire product category.

d) Fourth Violation: Termination of Authorized Seller/Wholesaler status.

Additional possible penalties include:

7) Policy Administration

a) This Policy does not constitute an agreement between Geberit and any Seller, and Geberit will not discuss the pricing practices of any Seller with any other Seller.

b) This Policy is unilateral and non-negotiable. It is not an agreement with any Seller.

c) Geberit may revise, suspend, or terminate the Policy at any time.

d) Failure to enforce any provision of this Policy does not waive the right to enforce it in the future.

e) No employee, representative, or distributor may modify or grant exceptions to this Policy, or discuss Seller compliance.
